.Two important differences between B2B and B2C are “negotiation” and “integration.” With a B2B you need to have complex integration to communicate with the other businesses, whereas with B2C you don’t generally need to integrate with a consumer’s system. Also, with B2B there will be negotiating done over costs, delivery and products, whereas with B2C there is very little if any negotiating done. In the example above with Ford and Firestone, integration would play a major role in the B2B relationship between the 2 companies. Their systems would need to track how many cars were being made, how many tires were needed and shipped, and much more. Integration between the 2 companies can reduce human involvement and can greatly increase efficiency.
